* perfectly makes use of the only PCIe 2.0 x1 slot on my older motherboard * super fast network speeds
- Intel card works with every device NIC I have with no issues - Worked at 1, 2.5 and 10GB for me with no issues - two ports - Can team depending on the OS
- Just plug and play in Windows 11 Pro. - I received 2 Card TX401, and both work like a charm. - Big upgrade on my local network, on a 10 G Switch. - Again, rock solid, good heat sink size, should be reliable for years... - It's Rj-45 , so no need to upgrade for fiber... for now. - Never had a problem with TP-Link to be honest.
-Works without dropping connection (unlike like my onboard intel wired network adapter). -Price.
I bought this network card a few years ago and it even works well with Pfsense. Which means other FreeBSD based operating systems should support it no problem : Freenas , etc. I am posting this review with this card being my WAN interface on my Pfsense router.
I was able to upgrade my notebook to WiFi 7
- Works out of the box with Ubuntu Linux without any additional work needed. (They use the built-in Aquantia driver) - I have two Ubuntu boxes directly attached using these NICs, and am getting 10gig connectivity.
Works where my previous adapter went undetected. I had to uncheck the box allowing the pc to shut off the card in power management as it needed a reboot to find it again after sleep.
Works as said and gets the speeds I need!
Lower cost than others of its kind. It's significantly smaller than I was expecting, and the heat sink covers every bit of usable space for exceptional cooling.
Worked out of the box on FreeNAS 8.3. Worked with Intel drivers on CentOS 6. Speed is comparable to other 10gbit solutions.
- Highly compatible - Stable - Good packaging - Standard and low profile mounting brackets - Lifetime warranty
Works with both PFSense and Proxmox without any special configurations.
Provides the service you expect from it. Was inexpensive
