This lightweight laptop is a powerhouse. My wife uses it to play second life. Anyone who has ever played that game knows it is VERY heavy on 3D graphics. This computer makes fairly light work of it.
Upgrading from a Gigabyte G5 with the 3060 and i5 10H, this is a massive improvement for those who want more horsepower from a similar foot print. The screen is pretty and colorful out of the box, will calibrate since its a bit blue for my taste but Ill see what the spectrometer says. Performance, not bad at all. Its snappy and loads everything I need to but faster. For 5lbs its dimensionally the same as the Gigabyte but the main thing I like about this design is when Im at a hotel the exhaust port doesnt burn my hand while gaming. Kudos MSI. Exhaust should be in the rear not the sides like others do.
LIGHT AND POWERFULL, can't complain. And asthetics are great.
1. Enough Ram To Start with 2. Lots of power out of the gate 3. Expandable to 32 G of ram 4. room for extra SSD Card 5. works great for music production
I've had no issues after using it daily for 3 months. Sometimes I shut it down, sometimes sleep, sometimes hybernate, and sometimes I'll forget and just leave it on overnight. The start up time from full power off is <15 seconds even with Fast Boot disabled in Windows which is simply amazing to me. I have two monitors plugged in to a DisplayLink dock which is then plugged into the Thunderbolt port, and then I have my gaming monitor plugged into the HDMI port. By doing this I can run the extra two monitors and Youtube/etc off the integrated Arc graphics on the CPU, and my gaming monitor runs off the dedicated RTX 4070. I also use the Copilot feature a lot for summarizing what would take me hours of reading forums and Reddit and comments and research, which I find extremely convenient and useful. I'm currently playing Doom (2016), CS2, Stalker 2, Jedi Survivor and Star Wars Outlaws on high settings 1440p, ray tracing if available, frame gen off, and DLSS quality and having a great time. 32gb of ram is plenty for gaming and leaving an app or two open on 2nd monitor, ram is not soldered so can be upgraded, and there are multiple NVME slots for storage upgrades as well.
Fast, Big Screen, Easy to Use
Super bright screen. It Handles every game Ive thrown at it on high to ultra settings, and with DLSS and Frame Gen turned on, its even smoother. The RGB keyboard and back lights looks so awesome kind of like sports car tail lights. Fans keep it cool Ive never seen it get to 70°C.
There is an issue with the Newegg listing: it says the screen is FHD+, but it actually is QHD+ with a 240 Hz refresh rate, which is good overall. However, you need to upgrade the RAM from 2×8 GB to 2×16 GB or higher, and add one more SSD (there is only one extra slot available for an additional SSD).
Great gaming PC! It's a major upgrade from his old gaming laptop from 4-5 years ago. He likes how fast everything loads and plays every game. Downloading new games is really fast.
Bought this to take with me to game on the go when Im traveling for work. Absolutely love it! Light weight and was easy to set up.
First thing I noticed was the lighting surrounding the keys. Very nice feature. Different colors are on incorporated. Very useful when room is darkened. Keys are still very visible.
Easy to set up and use. My son had no problems loading everything he needs.
Easy upgradability is major Comes with an extra m.2 slot Ram/battery/gpu/cpu is easily removable
Super fast, lightweight laptop with outstanding graphics. Large touch pad is easy to use. USB3 ports and a HDMI also. Latest wifi is blazing fast.
- Good performance overall - Good performance up-to 32B Large Language Models - Good performance at videogames, at par or better than my 7700S. - Fans are mostly off during regular use. - When gaming, fans are not very loud in comparison to my Framework 16 - Works mostly out-of-box with Linux
Well made, good look, good speed, fast on start up, i do light gaming in my free time, internet access is smooth and has no problems.
